Car accident my son bumped his head, ambulance called.?

I was rear ended and a highway patroleman saw the whole thing. He called the local police to the scene and an ambulance was called. The driver that hit me admitted fault. I am awaiting the report to be finished, their was damage done to my car, my question was will I recieve an ambulance bill and when? And will the other drivers insurance cover the charge? How long does it take to reiceve the bill? Also my son has medical insurance, but no question were asked about that. Can you please help me. Personal experiece in the matter would help greatly.
He did have insurance and I was turning left to drive into a parking lot, the highway was approaching from the opposite direction so I stopped so I would not cut him off. Then, I got rear ended, yes I had my blinker on. I live in Texas.

lawnboy and a luna is correct...also, if you don't have pip you may have medpay or both. medpay will pay for 100% of your son's medical bills up to your policy limits. the other insurance company will usually give you some money as well for non economic damages. it usually takes about a month for a ambulance bill-expect it to be about 800-1000.00. keep records for yourself and send copies to insurance companies.
