Beaded Jump Rope
Which jump rope is better?

I've recently started jumping rope and I have a space I can do it inside, but I have a beaded jump rope and I'm always a little worried it's going to hit something. Is there really any benefit to using a beaded jump rope over one with weighted handles? Is it more of a workout?

I'm gonna have to stray away from the two you mentioned. Beaded ropes don't allow for fast revolutions, which will make it harder to get your heartrate up.

I'd go for a speed rope with a pvc cord. For a more upper body workout you can easily add wrist weights to simulate the effects of a weighted rope; this way you don't have to sacrifice speed (and tricks).

My recommendations would be either a Valeo Neon jump rope or a Buddy Lee Aero Speed. Neither of the two come with weighted handles, but like I said just get yourself some wrist weights.
